Hi, I’m Katelyn! I’ve been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2021. My passion for this field was sparked during my junior and senior years at Apex High School, where I was a member of the Buddy Program. Today, I’m deeply committed to educational advocacy — ensuring our learners receive the highest quality, most meaningful services possible.

Before becoming a BCBA and Clinical Director, I served as a Lead RBT and helped build the systems and processes for an ABA clinic integrated within a non-profit childcare center. That experience made me well-versed in Natural Environment Teaching and blending play-based approaches with core ABA principles. I also spent over a year teaching a hands-on introduction to ABA course for RBTs at Stanly County Community College.

Outside of work, I played college softball at Catawba College — which is where I met my husband! We’ve since adopted our sweet rescue dog, Cali. In my free time I love staying active, hanging out with friends, and watching just about any sport.

Hi, I’m Alex! I recently relocated from Orlando, Florida, and I’m a mom to a sweet 2-year-old boy. Between him and our two dogs, there is never a dull moment in our home. We’re a Disney-loving family and enjoy watching all the movies — when we’re not outside enjoying the North Carolina lifestyle!

What inspired me to join this field are my two siblings with autism. I wanted to become their number one advocate, support my mom, and be the kind of clinician I would want them to have. I want to make a difference in the lives of others and ensure every family has someone in their corner cheering them on.

My favorite part of this job isn’t just when a learner gains a new skill — it’s the collaboration: connecting with families and supporting them across all areas of their needs. Educating families and building connections in the community is truly the best part of what I do.

Our story

Purpose-built for the communities we serve

Adaptive Pediatric Therapy was founded to bring high-quality, center-based ABA therapy to families in the greater Lake Norman and Iredell County region — communities that were underserved when it came to accessible, expert autism care.

We built our clinics from the ground up as dedicated ABA therapy spaces. Every room, every piece of equipment, every sensory space was designed with one goal in mind: giving children with autism the best possible environment to learn, grow, and thrive.

Today, we’re proud to operate two purpose-built clinics in Mooresville and Statesville, NC, serving hundreds of families throughout the region.

How we work

Our Approach to ABA Therapy

Every child at Adaptive Pediatric Therapy receives a fully customized treatment plan — built around their unique strengths, needs, and goals. Here’s what that looks like in practice.

01

Individualized from day one

Every child begins with a comprehensive BCBA assessment. No two treatment plans look the same — because no two children are the same.

02

Data drives every decision

Our therapists collect data every single session. BCBAs review it regularly and adjust treatment plans to ensure every child keeps moving forward.

03

Families are partners

Regular parent meetings are built into every child’s schedule. You’ll always know how your child is doing — and why we make the decisions we make.

04

Play-based and positive

Therapy at our clinics is engaging, reinforcement-driven, and built around each child’s interests. Kids learn best when they’re happy — and that’s exactly how our sessions feel.

05

Expert supervision at every step

Every treatment plan is designed and overseen by a board-certified BCBA. Our RBTs are continuously trained, supervised, and supported.

06

Skills that generalize

We teach skills in a way that carries over — from our clinic to home, school, and the community. Real progress means progress everywhere.

What we stand for

Our Values

Everything we do is shaped by a set of core beliefs about what great ABA therapy looks like — and what families deserve.

🔬

Evidence-Based Practice

ABA therapy has more than 50 years of peer-reviewed research behind it. We apply proven methods and let data — not guesswork — guide every clinical decision we make.

❤️

Genuine Care

We hire people who love this work. Our therapists build real relationships with the children and families they serve — because that connection is what makes the difference.

🎯

Individualization

Every child with autism is different. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter programs. Every treatment plan is built from scratch around each child’s unique profile, strengths, and goals.

👨‍👩‍👧

Family Partnership

Parents and caregivers are essential members of the treatment team. We provide regular updates, parent training, and open communication — because progress at the clinic should translate to progress at home.

🏘️

Community Commitment

We are proud members of the Mooresville and Statesville communities. Bringing accessible, high-quality ABA therapy to families in the Lake Norman and Iredell County region is something we care deeply about.
