Meet Our Clinical Director
The leadership behind our therapeutic approach and company vision
Katie Agurto
Clinical Director, BCBA
As Clinical Director of Adaptive Pediatrics, I bring a deep-rooted passion for supporting learners with special needs. My journey began in the classroom as a teacher, working with children facing severe behavioral and cognitive challenges. Even with the most complex cases, I was able to see the learners make incredible progress, whether it was through reducing target behavior and increasing replacement skills or learning a new concept.
While teaching, I discovered that the children I worked with required more support in other areas of their lives, rather than just the classroom setting. This led me to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, where I discovered a love for the science behind behavior and the incredible potential it has to create meaningful change not only for the learners, but the families as a whole.
This vision drives our approach to therapy, ensuring that every interaction with our learners and their families is guided by both clinical expertise and genuine compassion.
